Individual Therapy

What if we could treat our pain, intense emotions, and unwanted behaviors as trailheads? As an opportunity to explore? When we can soften our judgment and self-criticism, and turn towards these parts of ourselves with curiosity and even compassion, this can lead us down an unexpected path to healing. I love the opportunity to help people pay attention to their experience in new ways and find freedom from the things that have kept them feeling stuck.

Trauma

Living in the aftermath of traumatic experiences can leave people confused as to why they feel the way they do, frustrated to find themselves repeating the same behaviors, or stuck in the same types of relationships. I'm grateful for the opportunity to help people make sense of these symptoms and understand the ways their mind and body have been trying to keep them safe. As we learn to listen to the subtle ways that our body communicates what we need, we can open up surprising opportunities for growth and healing.

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”
